Liana Lazos - Certified Pilates Instructor
 
    Liana finished her Pilates Teacher Training certification in December of 2005 at the Long Beach Dance Conditioning under Marie Jose Blum. In 2006 she was a dance instructor and during that same time, began studying at multiple professional dance companies. 
    Prior to joining The Pain and Wellness Center team in August 2007, Liana taught classes in Anaheim Hills at Higher Ground Studio.  As a 28-year-old with a dance background, Liana is well-versed in working with athletes of all sports. She works with an age range of 12 years and up, and she is comfortable working with males and females.  During her sessions, Liana incorporates the most current and up-to-date techniques in the Pilates industry.

Pilates (pih-lah-teez) An innovative mind-body exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates.  Pilates operates with spring driven apparatus as well as a series of floor exercises that increase strength, balance, flexibility, awareness, posture, stamina, concentration and coordination.

 
What Are The Benefits Of Pilates?
  • Injury Prevention
    In traditional workouts, small muscle groups become weak and large muscle groups become stronger.  The result is muscular imbalance - a primary cause of injury and back pain.

  • A Strong "Core"
    Following the theories of Joseph Pilates, Pilates exercises develop a strong "core" or center of the body.  The core consists of the deep abdominal muscles (transverse abdominis), along with the muscles closest to the spine (erector spinae).  Control of the core is accomplished by incorporating the torso, pelvis and shoulder girdle.
  • A Mind-Body Workout
    Pilates reconnects your mind and body.  By emphasizing correct spinal and pelvic alignment, along with proper breathing techniques and smooth, flowing movement, you become spatially aware of your body, and how to properly control its movements.  Quality of an exercise is valued over quantity of repetitions.  Proper breathing techniques are crucial, which help carry out movements with maximum control and effectiveness.  As a side benefit, proper breath patters may reduce stress.

Our office has a 24-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled sessions.  Your account will be charged if notification is not given before the allotted time frame.

Saturday      8:00am-8:35am  -  $12 per session
 
*Payment is due at least 24 hours in advance for all Mat Classes.  No Refund will be given for a missed session. All classes are first come, first serve.

Wellness Center Pilates Policies
-Reservations are required for all sessions.
-24 hour cancellation policy for all sessions. 
-Payment is due at time of reservation.
-No refund will be given.
-All sessions expire 3 months from the date of purchase.
-Client must pay for session in advance.
-Only monthly members will have 30 days to make up a missed session.
-For new clients upon scheduling of first session, a credit card will be required to hold space.
